Characteristics of New Coatings for Electroless Nickel Plating

Characteristics of new coating processing equipment for electroless nickel plating.

The progress of many things is closely related to our daily life. It is advantageous for everyone to know a little more about those items. Electroless nickel plating is a surface treatment process, which makes the surface of the equipment more beautiful and also plays a role in maintaining the equipment. With the rapid progress of social development, the galvanizing process has also been greatly changed, and the technology has been improved. In the following introduction, everyone will know the characteristics of the new coating processing equipment.

1. Hardness. The hardness of the electroless nickel plating layer is much higher than that of the electroplated nickel layer, and it is more wear-resistant. The hardness of the electroless nickel plating layer is generally HV300 to 500. If the heat treatment method is used, the hardness of the electroless nickel plating layer can be improved. When heated at 400 degrees for 1 hour, the maximum hardness value can reach HV1000. Appropriately reducing the heat treatment temperature and prolonging the treatment time can also increase the hardness value.

2. Magnetic properties, the magnetic properties of the electroless nickel plating layer are determined by the phosphorus content and heat treatment temperature. Coatings with a phosphorus content of more than 8% are weakly magnetic. When the phosphorus content is more than 11%, there is no Magnetic properties, only coatings with a phosphorus content of less than 8 percent are magnetic, but their magnetic properties are smaller than those of electroplated nickel layers, and the magnetic properties are significantly improved after heat treatment.

3. Resistivity, the resistivity of the electroless nickel plating layer is related to the phosphorus content, the more phosphorus content, the greater the resistance of the device.
