Performance of the latest coatings for electroless nickel plating

The performance of the latest coating process products of electroless nickel plating.

The development of many things is closely related to our life. It is good for everyone to know more about these things. Electroless nickel plating is a surface treatment process, which makes the surface of the product more perfect and also plays a role in protecting the product. With the rapid development of society, the galvanizing process has also been greatly changed, and the technology has been improved. In this article, we will introduce the performance of the latest coating process products.

1. Hardness. The hardness of the electroless nickel plating layer is much higher than that of the electroplated nickel layer, and it is more wear-resistant. The hardness of the electroless nickel plating layer is generally HV300 to 500. If the heat treatment method is used, the hardness of the electroless nickel plating layer can be improved. When heated at 400 degrees for 1 hour, the highest hardness value can reach HV1000. Appropriately reducing the heat treatment temperature and prolonging the treatment time can also increase the hardness value.

2. Magnetic properties, the magnetic properties of the electroless nickel plating layer are determined by the phosphorus content and the heat treatment temperature. The coating with a phosphorus content of more than 8% is weakly magnetic. The phosphorus content of more than 11% is completely non-magnetic. , The coating with a phosphorus content of less than 8% has magnetic properties, but its magnetic properties are smaller than that of the electroplated nickel layer, and the magnetic properties are significantly improved after heat treatment.

3. Resistivity, the resistivity of the electroless nickel plating layer is related to the phosphorus content. The more phosphorus content, the greater the resistance of the product.
